How long can we stay?

We allow stays for one night or more.

Longer stay rates, for three nights or more, could be available at off peak times.

Children of all ages are welcome and there is no extra charge for very young children if parents are willing to provide their own travel cots.

We have two family rooms. If there are more than two people in the room requiring a bed,  then there is an increase in room rate.

 

Disability

Our rooms at Middleton House are all situated on the first floor and so are unsuitable for people who have difficulty with stairs or who are disabled. Please see our access statement.

 

How do we pay our deposit and balance?

A deposit for one night is requested before arrival either by a cheque made payable to Middleton House or by making a BACS payment. If you wish to make a BACS payment, then please e-mail us requesting our bank details at the time of booking.

If you require accommodation within 7 days of booking, then cash can be paid on arrival. Please confirm by telephone or email that this is the method you wish to pay.

 

BOOKING

Bookings can be made by telephone, by email or by booking directly from our website via Q.book.

Provisional bookings can still be made by telephoning us, but can only be held for a limited time due to our booking system.

PLEASE NOTE

You will receive an automatic booking confirmation if made directly from our website, but it is only provisional until we receive your deposit payment equivalent to the stay for one night.  We allow up to 5 days for your payment to reach us. After this time you will receive an email to say that your booking has been cancelled.

The balance to pay at the end of your stay can be paid by cash, by cheque made payable to Middleton House or by making a BACS payment and must be paid before your departure.

We do not accept credit / debit cards as we do not have the facility to take card payments. This also means that we can keep our prices low giving guests direct savings.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We are a small business and really hope that you do not need to cancel your booking, but we understand that plans sometimes  change.

Please let us know as soon as possible by telephone if your plans have changed.

If bookings are cancelled within 48 hours of arrival ( 4pm check-in time), then a full refund will be given minus 10% of the deposit to cover bank and administration fees.
If bookings are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, the deposit for the first night will be retained.

Departures earlier than scheduled are also treated as a cancellation and payment will be required for those days.

 

When can we check in and what time do we have to vacate our room?

Check in time is generally between 4 pm and 9 pm but arrangements outside these times may be possible by prior arrangement. Please call us in advance.

We ask that guests vacate rooms by 10 am on the day of their departure.

An early check in may be possible in special circumstances but we do need advanced warning as rooms may not be ready.

A check in after 9 pm may be possible, but please remember that we do need to get up early to prepare breakfast.

Late check outs will incur a small additional charge.

 

Smoking

Guests are not allowed to smoke anywhere inside the house. It is against the law.

Smoking is permitted outside and in part of the garden area.

 

Damage

Guests will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by them whilst staying at Middleton House and for any repairs or replacements necessary.

 

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, we do not accept dogs.

 

Free parking is available.
